The Utilities Broker

We Specialise in reducing your energy costs

How We Save You Money

We do this by using our 3 step process, our wealth of experience and your unique usage criteria to come up with money saving utility contracts.

The Steps Are:

1. Assess Your Usage

We Perform an Energy Check

We start by obtaining your Letter Of Authority (LOA), your current usage and then do an assessment based on your specific requirements.

2. Find The Best Deal

Using Your Specific needs.

We exhaust all options available from our suppliers to get the best deal and right price for you.

3. Sign You Up

We do the paperwork to complete the switch.

We discuss all the prices with you and if you're happy, we sort out the paperwork while you sit back and wait on the switch.

What Our Customers Have Said About Us

We have been fortunate enough to work with some great companies that have kindly provided feedback for us.

  • Amy Mack - Business Support Manager - (Charlie Miller Hairdressing Ltd)

"Managing the energy contracts for five properties can be extremely challenging. With so many companies out for your business and all promising you the best rates it is an area that can be difficult to control if you have little time to invest in it.

Since working with Tony he has managed to consolidate our gas and electricity contracts whilst securing us very competitive rates. And by introducing us to a new supplier we have been able to make a significant annual saving on our water usage.

I would definitely recommend contacting The Utilities Broker if you are looking for a more efficient way of handling your energy accounts and lowering your monthly bills, saving you time and money!"

  • Elliott Winyard - Director (Stobo Castle Health Spa Ltd)

"We are absolutely delighted with the substantial cost reductions to our energy bills and the excellent overall service the Utilities Broker Ltd have been able to provide us with.

From the start, they were very professional and a pleasure to work with – we are looking forward to building on the positive relationship going forwards.>

We would recommend the Utilities Broker Ltd services to other businesses looking to reduce their energy bills!"

  • Scott Davidson - Director (Glencairn Crystal Studio Ltd)

The level of service and attention to detail from the start until the switch over and post assessment was exemplary. I would highly recommend Tony for any utility negotiations.

    How does the transfer work?

Once you accept an offer from one of our suppliers and its confirmed your supply will be scheduled to move at the end of your current contract.

Your meter will then be  entered into the new suppliers network and at that stage will be classed as in a "pre-registration period".

This is a fully automated process and once registered a welcome pack will be sent from your new supplier and the switch will be complete.

What is the Letter Of Authority (LOA) for?
We need the Letter Of Authority so that we can work on your behalf. This is what allows us to contact suppliers and obtain the information we need so we can provide accurate quotes thereafter.
What is a Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN)?

The Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN) is the unique number assigned to your electricity meter.

It will not be found on the meter itself but your existing supplier will always know this and it will appear on all of your electric bills .

This number is essential to the switch process and is something that we need to know to complete any transfer.

What is a Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) ?

The Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) is the unique number assigned to your gas meter.

It will not be found on the meter itself but your existing supplier will always know this and it will appear on all of your gas bills .

It's normally a 10 digit code but there are some exceptions.

This number is essential to the switch process and is something that we need to know to complete any transfer.

What is a HH (half hourly) meter?

These meters have reads send automatically every 30 minutes to your supplier. which allows for extremely accurate billing for exact usage levels.

The data these meters produce can also allow the client a better understanding of when usage peaks & troughs which in turn perhaps allows the client to reduce consumption overall.
